Old Fashioned Downtown Christmas has been a tradition in Athens for as long as anyone can remember. The festival was created to bring to the community an atmosphere of days gone by - when Christmas shopping was a family event of hustle and bustle around the square while all the sights, sounds, and smells of Christmas filled the air.
The Athens Downtown Business Association (DBA) organizes Old Fashioned Downtown Christmas now, and we have maintained that mission. Once a year, our DBA members along with other businesses from the community and around the region come together to bring you a wonderful family shopping experience in the heart of Athens.
